GRAFTON GAOL PROTEST CONTINUES ON DAY THREE

A picketline of protesters from the Grafton community is holding strong on day three of its fight to keep Grafton Gaol open.
Yesterday, seven prison vans arrived to remove inmates, but only one made it through the crowd of protestors.
The member for Clarence, Chris Gulaptis, met with New South Wales Premier Barry O’Farrell today, urging him to reassess a decision to close the prison.
The Premier is yet to make a formal response, while the Grafton community is being urged by Mr Gulaptis to continue the protest.
