PORT MACQUARIE ON THE MAP FOR ELECTRIC CARS

Port Macquarie is now on the map for drivers of electric cars, with the unveiling of a Supercharger Station at Cassegrain Winery.
It’s the first part of Tesla’s long-distance network, linking Sydney and Brisbane.
“So they’ll be able to come here, charge up for anywhere between 20 minutes and an hour, and then go on with their journey,” Tesla Motors Australia’s Heath Walker said.
“And what a great place to stop off to have a break, recharge themselves and recharge their car at the same time.”
Located just off the Pacific Highway, the station can charge up to six cars at a time.
“It’s going to bring people to our winery, and it gives us an ability to showcase our region to the people who own Tesla cars,” Vigneron John Cassegrain said.
