PORT MACQUARIE-HASTINGS COUNCIL AWARDED A R BLUETT MEMORIAL AWARD

There was reason to celebrate for Port Macqaurie-Hastings Council today, after being recognised as the most progressive council in New South Wales.
It’s the first time the council was awarded the prestigious A R Bluett Memorial Award at the Local Government Association Conference.
“It was an absolute honour on behalf of our council, our community to accept the award. I’m very pleased to do that as a the new mayor. The efforts are very much recognised of the previous mayor Peter Besling and the council that served with him. I congratulate them on those efforts.” – Mayor Peta Pinson.
The award for 20-17 looks at all aspects of council’s operations, including planning for future growth, upgrades to sporting facilities, parks and walking trails.
