Good news for motorists in Byron Bay, with council endorsing a mini bypass.
A proposed second rail crossing would connect Butler Street with the Johnson and Marvell Street intersection.
$50,000 has been allocated for plans, however Council will still call on the State Government for further financial support.
Council has also resolved to consider a trial of the crossing to measure its effectiveness.
