LAY DAY HALTS WILKO’S FIJI PRO CAMPAIGN

Matt Wilkinson’s charge at the Fiji Pro was put on hold for second day due to small waves.

The 28-year-old hasn’t dropped a heat at cloud break, beating Miguel Pupo in the third round.

Next up he’ll face fellow Aussie Julian Wilson and Brazillian Ian Gouveia.

Runner up last year, a win would see the current world number five move closer to the yellow leaders jersey.

A long period swell is forecast to arrive at the end of the week.
