16 YEAR OLD UNINJURED AFTER NIGHT IN NATIONAL PARK

Two specialist ambulance officers spent the night helping a 16-year-old boy who became lost in bushland at Minyon Falls, near Byron Bay.
His parents raised the alarm about 4pm yesterday when the teen failed to return to his car.
After a four hour search and rescue operation, the boy was located at the base of Condong Falls.
“They abseilled about 80 meters over the edge of the cliff, found him set up a campfire, fed him, clothed him because he was only in boardshorts.”
The trio was winched out early this morning by the rescue helicopter.
“He was fine, he was into our packets of chips when he turned up here so they obviously didn’t feed him enough during the night.”
