MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE IN BORDER TOWN OF MUNGINDI

The SES is warning Mungindi residents to brace for the possibility of flooding tonight.

Major flooding is expected from the Weir River and the Macintyre River along the Barwon River at the border town.

The river is set to peak at 7.7 metres on Thursday.

Locals are being reminded to prepare their homes early and not to enter or drive through floodwaters.
