MORE THAN 40 CLOSE CONTACTS IDENTIFIED AT CHINDERAH SERVICE STATION

New South Wales Health has now tracked down more than 40 close contacts, linked to the Chinderah Ampol Service Station exposure site.
The number includes staff and other visitors who were at the station – at the same time as a confirmed covid case last Tuesday evening, and Wednesday morning.
They are all self-isolating for 14 days, regardless of whether they receive a negative test result.
Screening has now been ramped up in the Tweed, with six clinics open across the shire.
The Northern Rivers has not recorded a locally acquired case of the virus in 111 days.
