BALLINA RSL PARTNERS WITH LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL FOR TRAINING PROGRAM
Hospitality students at Ballina Coast High School will be offered real-world training at
the Ballina RSL, with a new partnership agreement made official today.
The program is aimed to boost the skills of young people, giving them a more direct path into the workforce.
The RSL also hopes to encourage future employment, as the industry continues to struggle with staff shortages.
“The national tourism is quite strong so we’ve got a fairly strong team and we’re just gearing up for the future hoping that the young ones can come into the game as well,” Ballina RSL Club’s Executive Chef, Stephen Mills, said.
The partnership will continue, as long as the demand and interest from students remains.
