A man will face court today after he allegedly stabbed another man during a domestic violence-related incident.
Emergency services were called to a house on Wattle Place, Inverell about 11pm last night.
When they arrived, police and paramedics found a man on the pavement with a stab wounds to his stomach.
The 22-year-old was taken to Inverell Hospital before being transported to Tamworth Base Hospital in a critical condition.
Two crime scenes were established, which have been examined by specialist forensic police.
Police arrested a 25-year-old man outside the home and charged him with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV).
He was refused bail to appear before Inverell Local Court today.
