CORONER ADJOURNS INQUEST INTO DWAYNE JOHNSTONE’S DEATH IN CUSTODY
An inquest into the death of Aboriginal man Dwayne Johnstone has been adjourned until tomorrow at Lismore’s Coroner’s Court.
The 43-year-old was in custody when he was fatally shot outside the Base Hospital in March last year.
Coroner, Magistrate Teresa O’Sullivan, will decide whether criminal charges should be laid against the corrective services officer who fired the bullet.
