COUNCIL ASKS RESIDENTS HOW TO IMPROVE COASTAL MANAGEMENT

Lake Macquarie Council is asking residents what they’d like to see in a new coastal management program.

Meetings will be held to hear suggestions on how to better manage the region’s waterways, beaches and the Swansea Channel.

“The community consultation phase will go over the next few months, and we’re looking to hopefully finish up phase 1 by the end of the financial year.” – Tim Browne, Council Environmental Manager.

It’ll replace a document drafted in 2015.
