It’s been known for a long time, that Guanaba in the Gold Coast hinterland and wild weather, don’t mix.
Whenever it rains heavily, Guanaba Creek Road over Coomera River floods, leaving residents cut off.
But that could be a problem of the past, with Council’s Planning Committee approving plans for a new bridge – worth almost $8 million dollars – to replace the current timber one.
Councillors will vote on the issue Tuesday.
