FLAMES TEAR THROUGH HOME AT MANNERING PARK

Fire tore through a home at Lake Macquarie this afternoon.

Flames took hold at the Kenneth Place property in Mannering Park at around one o’clock.

Numerous triple-zero calls alerted firefighters, who arrived to find flames leaping through the roof and windows.

The interior was gutted, and the roof caved-in, before the blaze could be brought under control.

Thankfully no one was home at the time.
