Avoca’s Open boat crew has taken out the penultimate round of the Peter’s Surf Boat Series.
The Soldiers Beach Masters struggled early, but they recovered to finish in third place.
Umina’s under-23 women were also impressive, crossing the line behind Cooks Hill.
Macmasters Beach men’s and women’s under 23 crews finished second and third respectively, while The Open Woman and Masters Women from Terrigal both finished third to gain vital championship points.
The final round will be held next month.
