POTENTIAL CHANGE ON THE WAY FOR COUNTRY RUGBY LEAGUE

A merger between Country Rugby League and New South Wales Rugby League could be on the cards, with a Memorandum of Understanding entered into, to discuss bringing together the two organisations.
In the event the two do come together, it would be the first time in more then 80-years Rugby League in the state is governed by the one body.
Country Rugby League CEO Terry Quinn saying in a statement, “we’re pleased to be working alongside NSWRL seeking to create a merged governing body that will continue to serve in the best interests of clubs, participants and volunteers at all levels.”
The MOU sets out November 2020 as a potential merge date.
