ARMED ROBBERY AT WAMBERAL WINE PALACE

A brazen armed robbery at a Wamberal bottle shop has left an employee rattled.

At around 8 o’clock last night, police say a man entered the “Wine Palace” shop on Ghersi Avenue and threatened the shop attendant with a firearm.

He left a short time later with a small sum of cash.

The man’s described as being in his forties, with a thin build, long busy hair and a gaunt face.
