Little Wings CEO Kevin Robinson has been named the 2015 Local Hero at a special ceremony in Sydney.
Mr Robinson was last night recognised for his work in establishing the free flight service for seriously ill children.
The service transports patients in regional areas to specialist oncology facilities in Sydney.
Earlier this year it helped a family from Manilla family, whose son was battling a brain tumor.
Mr Robinson says he hopes one day to take the Little Wings service nation-wide.
