FINAL AGREEMENT OVER NURSE CUTBACKS

A final agreement has been reached between the New South Wales Nurses and Midwives Association and Pulse Health, over cutbacks to nursing staff at Forster Private Hospital.
Up to three part-time nurses will be made redundant, but a committment’s been made to consider them for casual work in the future.
The Association says it’s an improvement from the original proposal, which would have seen five nurses sacked and another facing reduced hours.
Pulse Health says the recent increase in the number of rehabilitation inpatients at the hospital has allowed it to reconsider its position.
