SAFETY UPGRADES FOR TAMWORTH AND GUNNEDAH SCHOOLS

Five schools in Tamworth and Gunnedah will get a safety boost during the first school term, thanks to new funding from the New South Wales government.

Three new sets of flashing school zone lights will be installed at Tamworth South Public, Gunnedah’s Carinya Christian School and Gunnedah South Public School.

While road safety upgrades will take place at Tamworth Public and Carinya Christian School in Tamworth.

The upgrades will include fencing and kerb extensions and the construction of a pedestrian refuge island on Upper Street.
