LOOK BUT DON’T TOUCH – SEA DRAGONS WASH UP ON NEWCASTLE BEACHES

They may look pretty but these Blue Sea Dragons pack a punch.
With the large seas and onshore winds across Hunter beaches recently, hundreds have been washed up on shore.
The sea creatures feast on blue bottles and absorb their stinging cells, storing it in their own bodies, and later using it to sting predators. Even humans in the surf.
Local lifeguards are warning not to pick them up, simply admire from afar.
