- A man has died in a house fire at Nambucca Heads on the mid north coast. Emergency services were called to the home just after 8 this morning to find the house engulfed in flames.
- Australian tourists have been caught up in a deadly massacre at a nightclub in Mexico. Patrons were forced to run for their lives as a gunman opened fire into the crowd. Five people were killed in the attack.
