The Newcastle Jets have sacked head coach Scott Miller, a month out from the start of the A-League season.
In a statement, the clubs says the decision was made this morning and was “based on differences related to football matters within the club.”
“We acknowledge that the timing of this decision is far from ideal given the close proximity of next Hyundai A-League season,” said CEO Lawrie McKinna.
“But once the decision was made to move in a different direction regarding the Head Coach role we deemed it to be in everyone’s best interests to act quickly.”
No timeframe has been set for the appointment of a new Head Coach.
