ELECTION CAMPAIGN HEATS UP ON CENTRAL COAST
The Education Minister has become the latest political heavyweight to visit the Central Coast this election campaign, first travelling to Dobell before moving on to the seat of Robertson to observe an innovative coding lesson at Woodport Public School.
Simon Birmingham seized the chance to spruik the national curriculum.
“it’s essential that children develop and interest and stick with the study of science, technology and maths through their schooling and that’s why over the last term we’ve created a curriculum to make sure that coding is part of the national curriculum,” Minister Birmingham said.
The program is just one of the 14 science, technology engineering and maths-directed initiatives being rolled out across the country.
