HUNTER GIRLS RIDING HIGH IN THE WNBL

Hunter basketballer Katie Ebzery has helped Sydney Uni into second spot on the WNBL ladder, thanks to two wins over the weekend.
The Flames held out Bendigo on Friday, before beating Melbourne on Saturday.
It was a mixed weekend for fellow Hunter product, Suzy Batkovic, and the Townsville Fire.
They were hammered by the Stars, before outclassing Dandenong.
Batkovic wasn’t at her best offensively, hitting just six of her 18 shots.
But the Opals legend still made a valuable contribution with 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
Townsville sits in third spot.
