These are important little animals that play a vital part in the pollination of many of our indigenous trees. As well, their superior immune system is worth studying; learning from them would be beneficial to us. Human ignorance and habitat loss are their greatest enemies. We can live with them if we put some thought into it. I would like to see the study of our flying foxes and microbats included in the curriculem of our schools.
