TEENAGER CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING POLICE ON THE CENTRAL COAST

A 16-year-old boy has been charged after he allegedly assaulted two police officers on the Central Coast.
Police were patrolling Gertrude Street in North Gosford early this morning, when they saw a youth acting suspiciously.
After searching the area, police found the teenager hiding at the front of a unit block in Hills Street.
The teenager became aggressive and allegedly knocked a female constable to the ground, before fleeing.
Police allegedly found an illicit drug, believed to be ice, during a search, along with a small quantity of cash.
The teenager was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with a string of offences.
