PLANTATION DIGGERS BREAK A LONG CRICKET DROUGHT

After almost two decades, Plantation Diggers have finally won a grand final, defeating Sawtell by 94 runs in Coffs Harbour.
It’s been 18 years since Diggers last won a first grade premiership.
After winning the toss and batting first on Saturday, Diggers set up a total of 196 for Sawtell to chase yesterday.
Angus Garland top scored for Sawtell with 24 runs while a great knock of 67 not-out by Diggers veteran Steve Meakins steered the club to its long awaited win.
