Meanwhile, the Liberal party isn’t expected to name candidates for the seats of Swansea and Port Stephens, until just weeks from the March election.
The premier says a decision on whether to re-endorse current MPs, Garry Edwards and Craig Baumann, won’t be made until after the ICAC hands down its findings in February.
Both stepped back from the party, amid the political donations probe.
Candidates for the Newcastle, Charlestown and Maitland are expected to be announced shortly.
