Whitehaven’s Maules Creek open cut coal mine has copped a $15,000 fine from the Environment Protection Authority.
The state watchdog recorded excessive levels of air pollution from truck movements on February 10.
Investigations were conducted after a large number of complaints between November and January.
The EPA will continue to monitor dust levels at the site.
