A Paradise Point woman has been charged with murdering her newborn baby.
The 35 year-old was taken into custody this morning after detectives executed a search warrant at her home, following a four month investigation by the Child Protection and Investigation Unit.
Suspicions were raised after the little boy was brought into the Emergency Ward of the Gold Coast University with injuries and later died.
The woman has two other children and will remain behind bars tonight, before fronting Court in the morning.
