Gary Ablett is expected to sign a long term deal to remain at the Gold Coast until the end of 20-18.
The dual Brownlow medallist’s lucrative five-year contract expires at the end of next season, but it’s understood he’s not far away from putting pen to paper.
Ablett was odds-on favourite to win his third Brownlow before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury.
Ablett says media reports which say the star has already signed with the club are wrong.
