Police are investigating what caused a crash which killed a 29-year-old Elands man, northwest of Taree.
A passing motorist stumbled upon the wreckage on Glenwarrin Road at 9AM yesterday.
It’s believed the man’s car collided with a tree some time on Tuesday night.
The death has prompted yet another safety warning from police.
“Some of those country roads they are quite dangerous and being unsealed and a lot of sharp corners up in those areas, I’d just say to the public slow down, take it easy and be aware of other traffic on the road,” said Acting Inspector Troy Kauter from Manning-Great Lakes Police.
