ORCHIDS IMPRESS AT FIRST LASIANDRA SHOW

The aroma and colour of some of the world’s most exotic flowers filled Wauchope RSL today, for the inaugural Lasiandra Festival Orchid Show.

It was the Hastings River Orchid Society’s first Autumn show in years.

“We’ve got the members now that have got the plants, and we also have other members from other societies that have come over and brought their plants – we’ve got nearly 200 plants on the bench,” Secretary Greg Elliott said.

Paul Sloan won top prize for his stunning purple bloom.
