JOEYS KNOCKED OUT OF STATE CUP

Joeys FC have bowed out of Northern New South Wales Football’s State Cup, going down to Newcastle side Cooks Hill United in the quarter finals in Coffs Harbour.

The Inverell side was a late inclusion in the last eight, after securing a wildcard berth.

Joeys conceded a goal in the first half, before going on the attack in the second.

Despite scoring two, the defence just couldn’t hold out the strong Cooks Hill outfit.

The Northern Inland Premier League leaders will now turn their focus to next weekend’s clash with Oxley Vale-Attunga.
