TEACHER CHARGED FOR ALLEGEDLY RECRUITING CHILDREN FOR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY

A 59-year-old male teacher has been charged for allegedly recruiting children for criminal activity in Coffs Harbour.

Police executed a search warrant on homes and a school office earlier in the week, where a number of items were seized.

Three underage girls believed to be involved, were also interviewed at Coffs Harbour Police Station.

The man’s charges include causing malicious damage and supplying a minor with alcohol.

He will reappear in Coffs Harbour Local Court next month.
