We’re being told to brace for more storms today. Parts of New South Wales copped some heavy rain and frightening thunder claps this morning and a car with a man inside was hit by lightning at Bar Beach in Newcastle. He was shaken up and checked by ambulance officers but was unhurt.

British police have arrested two people who allegedly held three women as slaves in their London home for decades.  A 69-year-old Malaysian woman, a 57-year-old Irish woman and a 30-year-old British woman were all rescued. A man and a woman, both aged 67, have been arrested.

And It’s been revealed a tragic typing error stopped an ambulance from reaching a toddler, who then suffered a fatal heart attack.  The sick 18-month-old boy, from Sydney’s west, was taken to a doctor’s surgery in September. An ambulance was called, but didn’t arrive for an hour.
