A Tallai TAFE student has been crowned one of Queensland’s top Automotive Mechanic Apprentices after winning the regional final of the Worldskills Australia competition.
19-year-old Kurt Trask outdid the competition in completing five different tasks.
He’ll now represent his state in the national finals over three days.
“I heard it’s going to be a bit more difficult than last time which is good, I don’t mind a challenge.”
“They’ll be competing against the best in Australia in their own age, so they can make great friends and great contacts for the future.”
Winners progress to the international competition.
