BIGHT BRIDGE WORKS

The main road between Tinonee and Wingham will be closed for up to 10-weeks, while work is carried out on the Bight Bridge.

Residents say they don’t believe closing the bridge is the way to go.

  1. I am totally against the closure of the bridge. I live in wingham and have 3 children and 2 of them that attend Tinonee School. As do plenty of other families in the wingham area. We travel that road twice a day sometimes 4. It means it takes around 10-12 minutes each way. BUT with bridge closure it would be adding upto an hour on our travel times to get our kids to school. That is outragous i say. Maybe they could do night work,? This bridge cannot be closed.
