WORK UNDERWAY TO TRANSFORM WAUCHOPE’S LASIANDRA PARK

A vision to transform Lasiandra Park into an exciting new play space is finally coming to life.

The combined dream of Wauchope residents, non-for-profit groups and Port Macquarie-Hastings Council includes a slide, intergenerational swing, disability friendly picnic areas and outdoor fitness equipment.

“The space is designed to encourage careers and families and people from the adjacent retirement village to use the space” – Liam Bulley, Port Macquarie Hastings Council.

Council has invested more than $82,000 towards the project, while the state government has granted $50,000.

Work is expected to be complete by the end of July.
