Football clubs from across the Manning and Great Lakes today joined Tinonee Soccer Club, in honouring one of its long-standing members, Michael Edge.
The 20-year-old passed away in a car accident in November last year.
The memorial event known as ‘Edgy Seven Day’, saw clubs from Taree, Cundletown, Forster and Wingham participate in a series of round-robin matches.
Tinonee Soccer Club also used the day to kick start its fundraising campaign to establish a new ground, which will be named the Michael Edge Field.
