SECOND ARREST OVER COFFS ROBBERIES

A second man has been arrested and charged following several alleged armed robberies in the Coffs / Clarence area.
Last Sunday, detectives arrested an 18 year-old Coffs Harbour man over the alleged attempted armed robbery at the Sawtell Bowling Club in late July.
He was charged for that incident and two other armed robberies that occurred at a Coffs Harbour video store and supermarket earlier the same month.
The teenager was refused bail and appeared before court yesterday.
Meanwhile a 29-year-old man remains before the court in relation to these incidents as well.
Investigations are continuing and more arrests are expected.
