He’s won just about every major yacht race in Australia, but Sydney to Hobart line honours skipper Mark Richards, has stepped out of a super maxi, and into an Etchell, for the New South Wales titles.
“It’s a great leveller instead of the boats it’s the team and the skill of the sailors on board and with 35 boats on the water it’s going to be a real test.”
The official weigh in took place this afternoon, with racing off the coast of Newcastle to begin tomorrow.
