Newcastle Jets coach Scott Miller has conceded there could be some truth to the rumours his star player could leave the club.
Ex-Socceroo David Carney has been linked to a club in Qatar and Miller says the Jets will consider hitting the transfer market, should Carney exit in January.
“I’m pretty calm about the whole thing,” Miller said.
“When the offer comes in, you look at it. Is it financially viable for the club, is it good for the playing group?
“If it is, you have to make a decision, but until the phone rings you don’t really bother talking about it.”
32-year-old Carney has been in blistering form so far this season and is coming off contract with a handful of other Jets.
