Five aspiring film makers were given the opportunity to pitch television and movie ideas
to a panel of industry experts in Byron Bay today.
“Life’s A Pitch” is an annual event designed to give creative locals a crack at the big time.
Winning team Jimmy Maleki and Thom Saunders wowed the judges with their story about eight urbanites forced to live in a remote community without water or power.
“I just like all the ideas and thoughts. we just feel it was plugged into what people think about and care about at the moment and that’s important.”
The winners will travel to Sydney later in the year to pitch to an international market.
