EXTENSIONS ON TRACK FOR INVERELL CYCLEWAY

An extension of Inverell’s bike path is on its way, with the state government announcing $70,00 for the project.

Inverell Shire Council is matching the funds – providing a total of $140,000 to extend the track around town.

Already 14 kilometres long, the addition will further connect the town.

“To encourage people to get out and get active and fit, but also to connect three of those important community facilities – Varley Oval, the tennis club and Inverell TAFE,” Member for Northern Tablelands, Adam Marshall says.

It follows previous work by Council to create a network for local cyclists.
