Challenge Community Services has teamed up with the Tamworth Ice Action Group to bring an emergency crisis accommodation centre to the region.
Member for Tamworth, Kevin Anderson among those hoping to see the 24-hour facility up and running in the new year.
“I went down with Challenge Assistant CEO Steven Doley to see Michael DiRienzo from Hunter New England Health to talk about what we can do to get some funding for emergency crisis accommodation.”
The centre will provide shelter, assistance and rehabilitation to those battling a drug or alcohol addiction.
