All drug charges against Newcastle Knights forward Chris Houston have been dropped.
The charges were dismissed during a committal hearing in Newcastle Local Court, Magistrate Elaine Truscott finding there was insufficient evidence to prove any of the four charges.
The 25-year-old second rower was charged in March this year with supplying ecstacy and cocaine.
Houston made no comment to reporters as he left the court.
Knights CEO Steve Burraston will recommend to the club’s board that Houston, who voluntarily terminated his contract, be reinstated immediately.
That could happen as early as Monday.
