Newcastle’s International Birdman Rally scheduled for the 22nd April has been postponed due to a clash with an Off Shore Power Boat racing event.
The Birdman rally challenges competitors to construct their own flying contraptions and leap from a ramp into the harbour. The winner being the entrant who covers the most distance.
The clash of events came about due to shipping movements on the harbour and a rescheduled power boat racing program.
Birdman organisers will contact entrants.
