Essential Energy workers across the New England North West will join a state wide protest against proposed job cuts next week.
On Thursday employees from 50 sites, including Tamworth, Armidale, Gunnedah and Narrabri will stop work between 9am and 1pm.
State-wide, more than 100 depots and control rooms will take part.
It follows employees last month voting in support of taking industrial action, to fight a workplace agreement which could see 800 people sacked in regional areas.
